The International Journal of Social Sciences, Management and Arts (IJSSMA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical publishing and academic integrity. The journal follows ethical principles to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility in the publication process.

All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, and reviewers—are expected to adhere to the ethical guidelines outlined below.


1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to IJSSMA must ensure that:

  • The work is original and has not been published elsewhere
  • The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal
  • All sources are properly cited and acknowledged
  • Data presented in the manuscript is accurate and not fabricated or falsified
  • Any conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed
  • All listed authors have made significant contributions to the work

Plagiarism, data manipulation, or misrepresentation of authorship is strictly prohibited.


2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

The editorial team of IJSSMA is responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance
  • Treating all submissions fairly without discrimination
  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decision-making
  • Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct

Editors reserve the right to accept, request revisions, or reject manuscripts in accordance with journal policies.


3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers (If Applicable)

Reviewers involved in the evaluation process are expected to:

  • Conduct reviews objectively and constructively
  • Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts under review
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited
  • Report suspected ethical issues or plagiarism to the editors
  • Decline review if a conflict of interest exists

4. Plagiarism Policy

  • IJSSMA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection tools.
  • Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.
  • Submissions found to contain significant plagiarism will be rejected immediately.

5. Duplicate and Redundant Publication

  • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical.
  • Publishing substantially similar content in more than one publication without proper disclosure is prohibited.

6. Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
  • Editors and reviewers must also disclose conflicts and recuse themselves when necessary.

7. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

  • Corrections will be issued for genuine errors that do not invalidate the findings.
  • Retractions may be issued in cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, or serious ethical violations.
  • Expressions of concern may be published if an investigation is ongoing.

8. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain the copyright of their work.
  • Authors grant IJSSMA the right to publish the work electronically.
  • Proper credit to authors will be maintained at all times.

9. Complaints and Appeals

  • Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written explanation.
  • Complaints related to ethical concerns will be investigated fairly and confidentially by the editorial team.

10. Ethical Oversight
